I am writing in response to your online advertisement for the position of 'Sr. Web Designer' in your company. Web designing for me is not just a source of income, but a passion that I love to indulge in on a regular basis. I am sure my skills, experience and professional training can be effectively used within your organization.
I graduated from a premier institute of Fine Arts & Computer Graphics. Soon after I took up a certification program in web graphics and multimedia to further accentuate my skills and knowledge. I worked as Assistant web designer with an advertising agency for an year, and picked up many essential techniques and methods that can only be learnt on-the-job.
While I have been working as a freelancer for the past 5 years, I am now looking for a regular and more stable source of income. I have attached a portfolio of my work and list of my clients with this letter.
I am well-versed with a variety of programming languages especially JavaScript, and HTML. I am adept at using designing software such as Visual Site Designer, Windows Live Writer, Dreamweaver and Expression Studio. I can comfortably work on different operating systems including Windows and Macintosh.
In addition to my web designing skills, I also have in-depth knowledge of search engine optimization which allows me to build websites and pages that comply with the SEO guidelines.
I am a hard working and detail oriented individual with excellent communication skills. I am an avid reader and a technology buff, which allows me to remain updated with the latest technologies and advancements in the world of web designing. I have consistently received positive feedback for my ability to understand client’s needs, resolve issues and come up with innovative ideas that are beneficial for the client’s site or pages.
